December 2004

Club News
The John Engler seminar was held Nov 19-21, 2004 with several members from our club participating. John is a great teacher and the students were very satisfied with the class.
Our Christmas Woodcarvers' Ball was well attended. The club provided the basics (thanks to Dale Sapp for handling this task) and members brought side dishes to share. Food and holiday spirit was overflowing. Several members participated in the ornament exchange and shared original carvings with club members.

If you are a member of the Mid America Woodcarvers - dues must be paid before the end of the year to avoid the $5 late charge. Dues for our club are also due. Remember that dues for 2005 are $15. Treasurer Bob Craven will be glad to take your payment.
Show Case
Show and Tell
Club and family members experimented with pumpkin carving this year and did a great job. These were too late for the November newsletter, so here they are!

When you have an item for show and tell, please get my attention before you leave (presuming that I remember to bring the camera). If you have a digital picture of your work, send it to me for publishing.
No meeting on the 15th of December. Have a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year.
