 Club News

FALL SHOW:  Club officers and directors established the entry fee for the fall show: $20 for members (with a $5 refund if a item is donated for the raffle); $25 for nonmembers; and $30 for venders (per table).  Applications are being distributed to other clubs and will be available at the next club meeting.  Judging will be open to everyone entered in the show - members and non members.

CARVING PROJECTS:   A lot of projects are being worked during our meetings.  Bring yours and share your experience.

Wilbert, Bill, and Martha take a break from their facial carvings to talk to Mike about his new piece.  Mike's carving is shown below. Dallas worked on burning the feathers on his split tail. Ray is carving a raccoon family - mother and off spring.  Bob is carving a space shuttle for a family member. Corky is working on some bottle stoppers.

Please let me or a club officer know when you can lead a project.  Wood burning, free form carving, chip, spoons,...have been suggested; what would you like to teach.  If you are a new member and have a specific interest let us know, we will get you a mentor.  Projects will start at the second meeting of the month.  The following meeting (first of the next month) will be used to complete the project.
