About Our Club
✎ About St Charles WoodCarvers
St Charles Area WoodCarvers is a community of dedicated wood carvers based in Weldon Springs, Missouri. We welcome enthusiasts of all experience levels — from those just picking up their first whittling knife to master carvers with decades behind them. Our goal is to inspire creativity, share techniques, and celebrate the art of wood carving.
📅 Our Meetings
We gather every Wednesday evening at the Weldon Springs Interpretive Center from 6:30 PM to 8:30 PM. Bring your tools, your projects-in-progress, and your enthusiasm! Guests and prospective members are always welcome for the first two visits at no charge.
🌳 What We Carve
Our members work in many styles: relief carving, chip carving, caricature figures, wildlife, whittling, and power carving. Projects range from decorative wall pieces to functional kitchen items, birds, animals, and folk-art characters. Show-and-tell keeps every meeting fresh.
🏭 The Interpretive Center
The Weldon Springs Interpretive Center commemorates the former World War II ordnance works on the site. Set near the Missouri River bluffs, it offers walking trails, historical exhibits, and a welcoming meeting room where we hold our gatherings.
